Durable Medical Equipment Program (DME)

Durable Medical Equipment (DME) is medical equipment for use in the home. DME includes wheelchairs, hospital beds, commode chairs, oxygen equipment, walkers, bedpans, incontinence supplies (diapers and chux), and other medical supplies. Most DME is covered by the Funds, but you must first have a doctor’s order, and you must get the DME from a Funds’ DME Program Vendor. Some items require approval by the Funds.
